For the past eleven years, I have served as assistant principal in Henry County. During this time, I strove to gather the skills and knowledge needed to be a great school leader. Now, I humbly come to join the family of Jackson Road Elementary. Words cannot describe my excitement to serve this school as principal.
Prior to my work as assistant principal, I spent 14 years teaching in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classrooms. My classroom experience was in Clayton and Henry counties.
More importantly, I am a mom and a wife. I have two children. It is hard to admit it but they are “big kids” now. My daughter, Reice, is 21 years old and attends Mercer University in Macon. My son, Coleman, is 18 years old and will start at Gordon State in the fall. Jeff and I have been married for almost 23 years now. He has moved my stuff from classroom to classroom and building to building for years. When someone in your family is in education, everyone is in education. I love my career choice, and it is only getting better.
I hope for the opportunity to get know you and work with you in the near future. I am positive that together we can keep Jackson Road Elementary, our community, and our students on the road to success.
