Welcome to Parent Resources!
Top of Page

We are here to help you help your child have the most successful elementary school years possible.  Our Parent Involvement Coordinator is Mrs. April Kisner.  A Parent Liaison works to bridge the gap between home and school by assisting parents in understanding ways they can help their children with academics.

Parent workshops and stakeholder meetings will be held throughout the year. Please be on the lookout for information regarding these opportunities for you to partner with us to ensure your child's academic success.

We have a Parent Resource Center located in the Media Center at JRE. It is open to families during school hours Monday-Friday. We have several literacy and math games that can be checked out and used at home, as well as many other resources that support your student's acadmic and emotional growth at home.

We are available to help and answer questions you may have.  For more information, please call the school at 770-229-3717 or e-mail april.kisner@gscs.org.

Learning during breaks

We are often asked for activities that can be completed at home to help students stay academically engaged during the breaks. Here is an easy game to use at home that can be used to promote many skills (Red Words, letter sounds, math facts, vocabulary and much more!)
